Eve Air Mobility has released a new video of its first full scale eVTOL non-conforming prototype. The video comes as production continues of the aircraft at the company’s facility in Brazil.
Eve started in 2017 as an innovation project within Embraer-X, a unique business accelerator within the aircraft manufacturer Embraer. Eve is taking a holistic approach to progressing the UAM ecosystem, with an advanced eVTOL project, a comprehensive global services and support network and a unique air traffic management solution.
Luis Valentini, Eve Air Mobility’s chief technology officer states, “from the beginning, we’ve made strategic choices in the design and configuration of our eVTOL to be able to accomplish a variety of urban mobility missions in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.”
“With a high safety level and reduced impact in the communities where it will be operated. Higher dispatch reliability equals more flights per day, an important factor for our customers and their business model.”
“This configuration not only simplifies the systems and the flight of the aircraft but has the potential to lead to a clearer path to certification.”
Valentini added, “the aircraft has an innovative wing design that includes eight dedicated rotors for vertical flight and a single pusher to fly on cruise.”
Eve Air Mobility is expected to share more updates in the coming months.
