Hong Kong Airlines has upgraded its special Panda Friends livery aircraft, unveiling a brand-new suite of matching themed cabin interiors and bespoke collectibles. The new interiors debuted on board the carrier’s flights to Chengdu.
The airline first debuted the Panda Friends livery in March this year, in partnership with Hong Kong animal theme park Ocean Park.

The preview event welcomed guests such as the Hong Kong secretary for culture, sports and tourism Rosanna Law; under secretary for culture sports and tourism Raistlin Lau; under secretary for transport and logistics Liu Chun-san; Airport Authority Hong Kong CEO Vivian Cheung; as well as board members of both Hong Kong Airlines and Ocean Park.
The livery features the six pandas home to Ocean Park, including An An, Ke Ke, Ying Ying, and Le Le, alongside the Hong Kong-born giant panda twins Jia Jia and De De.
The artwork features the six pandas setting off from Ocean Park with their passports and cameras in hand, ready to journey the world with Hong Kong Airlines’ passengers.
Hong Kong Airlines said the initiative carries Hong Kong’s “distinctive charm, cultural heritage and conservation stories” across the world. The airline aims to create a lasting contribution to Hong Kong’s position as an international aviation hub, supporting its tourism and cultural significance.
