Ahead of their WCL match against Chelsea in London, European airline Vueling has unveiled the new aircraft design that will showcase the image of FC Barcelona Femeni players for the 2025/26 season.

The plane is an Airbus A320, bearing images of team members Aitana Bonmatí, Alexia Putellas, Claudia Pina, Caroline Graham-Hansen, Patri Guijarro, Salma Paralluelo, Ewa Pajor, and Esmee Brugts. The slogan ‘Dream, Play, Fly’ is along its fuselage.

Sandra Hors, Director of Corporate Affairs, Brand, and Sustainability at Vueling, expressed her delight with the project: “A year and a half ago, we embarked on a joint journey with the FC Barcelona women’s first team to give more visibility to women’s sports and help promote women’s leadership both on and off the field. This plane is a symbol of what we share with Barça: our roots in Barcelona, team spirit, ambition, and the ability to inspire. Every flight is an opportunity to convey these values to thousands of people across Europe and to strengthen the connection between our project and the city that has seen us grow.”

In April 2024, an agreement was made to showcase Vueling and Barça Femeni together. The resulting plane has toured Europe on more than 2,400 flights over 18 months, carrying 370,000 passengers and visiting nearly 30 countries across Europe and North Africa.

Most importantly, the partnership is set to actively narrow the visibility gap between men’s and women’s sports, in the hope of promoting role models for younger generations.
