The future is here for Munich Airport as it introduces its service robot JEEVES along with its offering of refreshments to its passengers. Developed by German company Robotise, the ‘snackbot’ will roam Terminal 2 to serve customers as a one-year test run.

JEEVES originally began its development journey as a service robot in the hotel and healthcare sector. Its introduction to Munich Airport marks the first deployment of a snackbot in an airport.

Say hello to JEEVES; Munich Airport’s newest employee

The snackbot will move autonomously until approached. Customers can interact with JEEVES by using the touchscreen before completing their purchase via cashless payments

Upon purchase, customers can retrieve their refreshments from drawer compartments lining the snackbot’s back

The robot complements the airport’s vision as an innovative and premium hub for passengers with its novel approach to customer service.
