Who said talking about the weather is boring? The Aruba Tourism Authority is hiring for what it says is the world’s easiest job: to be the holiday hub’s weatherperson.

Claiming to get more sunny days than any other Caribbean island, Aruba wants travellers to send a 30-second video of them reporting the weather to be in with a shout of winning a week-long trip.

Once the winner lands in Aruba, he or she will spend part of the week broadcasting weather reports.on the tourism authority’s social media pages.

That should not ruin the holiday, however, as the “one happy island” boasts “average temperatures of 80 degrees with refreshing trade winds”, meaning the winner would end up doing the world’s easiest weather report, according to the authority.

“Fortunately, Aruba is blessed to have consistently clear, sunny skies, making it the perfect destination for visitors to explore and enjoy any time of the year,” said Ronella Croes, the authority’s chief executive,

Participants have until March 31 to visit Aruba.com/WorldsEasiestJob, where they can register and submit a 30-second video of them reporting the island’s weather from home.
