Lufthansa is to offer passengers in its premium first class with what it calls the “Suite Plus” — a double cabin with ceiling-high walls and a door.

The room is to come with a “large table “and two wide seats which can be warmed or cooled and can be merged into a double bed — “if required” —the German carrier said.

The space will also come with a wardrobe when the offering is made available in 2024.

“Every guest has their own understanding of premium, which is why we focus on maximum individuality and exclusivity,” said Jens Ritter, Lufthansa chief executive.
