Avia Solutions Group has given €100,000 to Turkish organisations working on rescue and relief operations after two deadly earthquakes hit south of the country and northern Syria,
The donation will go to Turkey’s Disaster and Management Authority (AFAD) and Türk Kizilay, a local humanitarian group and part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
“We send our deepest condolences to the people in Türkiye. We stand united together, wishing you strength in this hour of grief,” said Jonas Janukenas, chief executive of Avia Solutions Group.
Over 11,000 people were confirmed dead by the afternoon of February 8 after 7.8 and 7.5 earthquakes hit the region over the two previous days.
