Chapman Freeborn has lifted 330 cows to West Africa from Europe via its Intradco Global animal transport specialist division.
The genetic breeding cattle were moved for what the Avia Solutiions Group business said is a “longstanding client, with the animals to be part of a “large-scale governmental initiative to increase dairy production yields”.
Demand for milk in West Africa has historically outstripped supply, Chapman Freeborn said, meaning the herd expansion effort could help reduce food import costs
“Being involved in an important project that will have a positive and tangible impact on the local community is a great feeling, and so is knowing that our longstanding client once again trusted Intradco Global to deliver their precious cargo. We look forward to working with them again in the future,” said Hayden Edwards, cargo account manager – commercial at Intradco.
