UK-based travel security and health business International SOS has appointed ex-Boeing vice president and chief security officer Dave Komendat as its senior security advisor.
SOS lauded Komendat as “one of the best in the business” and said he “will be responsible for working with clients to solve complex challenges, including the areas of travel risk management, business continuity, event security, and threat intelligence”.
“International SOS is known for providing the most high-quality health and security care to its clients, and I’m pleased to join this team,” said Komendat, who worked for Boeing for nearly 40 years before setting up a risk management firm and joining the boards of what SOS said are “non-profits with the mission to protect people globally”.
Komendat’s “widespread knowledge of crisis management and extensive leadership experience” will help SOS maintain the quality of its services, said Jarrett Michau, chief executive, Americas.
