Travellers flying to Dubai will again be able to travel to the Creek, or their hotel, in style once more as Emirates restarts its premier customer on the ground services which includes its chauffeur service into town and an airport lounge at its Dubai hub which has had full health and safety overhaul ahead of the relaunch.

Emirates will start by opening one lounge in Terminal 3 Concourse B, Dubai International Airport (DXB) to serve First Class, Business Class and Emirates Skywards members from July 1. Modern technology means lounge guests will enter through biometric gates using facial recognition to reduce contact.

While the lounge facilities and amenities are being reopened visitors will notice a difference; food in the lounge now coming in sealed meal boxes rather than a buffet offering, while thirsty travellers will be able drink single serve beverages such as spirits and beer wine and champagne are sadly off the menu for the moment.

The lounge will be sanitised and fumigated at the end of each day as well as periodic cleaning throughout the day, lounge employees will sanitise each seat and table after each customer leaves. Another change is that  Emirates Lounge staff will now be in full PPE.

Emirate’s complimentary chauffeur service for First and Business Class has also had the deep clean treatment with the cars disinfected inside and out at the end of each shift, meaning travellers can make the final journey to their destination with peace of mind.
